This meeting was hold in Pobra do Caramiñal from 8 to 12 of May/2023, with assistance of all the schools partners in this project: Kurun Yhtenäiskoulu, IISS Fortunto Fedele, Agrupamento de escolas Dr. Ginestal Machado, Scoala Gimnaziala Mircea Eliade and Bergama Cumhuriyet Anadolu Lisesi.
08.- MONDAY
Monday was first day at school, for welcoming and meeting with the staff, and making a school tour.
Presentation of each school and education systems, as well as presentation of Pobra do Caramiñal, Spain and Spanish education system
After finishing all presentations, we departure to viewpoint Curota, then enjoyed a shared lunch at Camping Cascada restaurant and visited an interesting archaeological place: castro de Baroña.
At night, as would be every night, shared dinner for teachers.
09.- TUESDAY
First activity in the morning was a conference about “Saint Jacques´ Way” by coordinator Angel Vidal.
After it, different presentations on probiotics, slow food and more, made by students of each country, as well as an exhibition of project outcomes and presentations made by Spanish students.
We also made some Kahoots over the content of the presentations.
Then was the moment for Dietetics students, who made an introduction to “Healthy breakfast”, followed by a real healthy breakfast cooked by the same group of Spanish students.
After which we continued with some presentations and had a short time for a meeting of coordinators.
As the weather didn´t help us, we enjoy a lunch (picnic) at the school and then spend some time playing games at school, after which animal lovers had the opportunity to visit the animal shelter Moura facilities.
10.- WEDNESDAY
This day was dedicated to a cultural visit to Santiago de Compostela, a World Heritage city
The first stop was at viewpoint Monte do Gozo, as the pilgrims use to do.
Then a short workshop and degustation of healthy ice cream with a local producer: Xearte Brigitte
The most important activity of the day was the visit to the cathedral and the surrounding squares, in the core of the old town.
After lunch we enjoyed a different way of visiting the museum Museo do Pobo Galego, through a clue search game.
A perfect end for a long cultural day was a good time of jumps and pirouettes, to create unforgettable memories.
11.- THURSDAY
This day was mainly dedicated to visits and workshops related to the theme of the project.
First thing in the morning, we enjoyed an introduction to the world of honey and its derivatives, from the hand of Abellamel, where we also learned about other products made by bees and how to improve our immune system with them.
We leave on a trip to the nearby village of Noia, where after a short visit, we had a workshop on Kombucha and fermented products with MERAKI.
In the afternoon we moved to the vicinity of Arzúa, specifically to the facilities of the Casa da Curiscada ecological farm, where we learned about the cheese production processes, as well as the advantages of organic products.
12.- FRIDAY
For the last day we had an intense program.
Starting with a guided tour of the Valle Inclán museum, where we learned about the work of this author, but also about society and lifestyle in the early 20th century.
After moving to the ELMA THEATER facilities, we had a meeting with the mayor of the city, in which we had the opportunity to exchange opinions about our project.
We then enjoyed a sensational concert by a string duo.
After a short break, we had the opportunity to learn about probiotics and the immune system from a great specialist, Dr. Olalla from NUTRIBIOTICA
To finish the morning’s activities, we proceeded to deliver attendance certificates.
From that moment on, the program was a little more open, giving different options for a relaxed afternoon.
The majority option of the students was to enjoy a few hours at the beach and sports activities.
For the teachers, there was still a visit to the facilities of the Escuris canning factory, where they treated us to an extensive tasting of their products and we learned that canned fish made with natural products is also a healthy meal.
At night, it was time to share a dinner, enjoy a few hours of company and say goodbye.
13.- SATURDAY
All the groups had to travel very early, so there was hardly any occasion for last goodbyes.
But we do ask to find a moment to cover the online evaluation of the meeting.
